In March 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries', which included the work Walking In The Forest At Sunset; And Resting Under A Tree by Jan Evert Morel. The auction ended at the price of EUR 3,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Evert Morel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grapes, pomegranates, peaches, cherries, and a melon, with carnations, and other flowers on a stone ledge in a landscape in June 2004 with an auction result of USD 31,070.00 (€ 25,511.13).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im März 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' durch, in der auch die Arbeit Walking In The Forest At Sunset; And Resting Under A Tree von Jan Evert Morel zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Evert Morel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grapes, pomegranates, peaches, cherries, and a melon, with carnations, and other flowers on a stone ledge in a landscape im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.070,00 (€ 25.511,13).
