Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Skaters On A Frozen Waterway, A 'Koek En Zopie' In The Distance by Jan Evert Morel. The price achieved of EUR 8,650.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Evert Morel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grapes, pomegranates, peaches, cherries, and a melon, with carnations, and other flowers on a stone ledge in a landscape, which sold at auction in June 2004 for USD 31,070.00 (€ 25,511.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Skaters On A Frozen Waterway, A 'Koek En Zopie' In The Distance von Jan Evert Morel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 8.650,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Evert Morel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grapes, pomegranates, peaches, cherries, and a melon, with carnations, and other flowers on a stone ledge in a landscape beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für USD 31.070,00 (€ 25.511,13) versteigert wurde.
