Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bacchus by Jan de Braij was sold in the Old Master & British Pictures auction at Christies in London in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,577.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan de Braij achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Violin Player Accompanying Two Young Singers in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 177,208.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bacchus von Jan de Braij wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Old Master & British Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.577,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan de Braij erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Violin Player Accompanying Two Young Singers im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 177.208,02).
