Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2001 Christies in New York held the auction OLD MASTER DRAWINGS, which included the work A young girl looking at her reflection in a mirror held by a page by Jan de Braij. The price achieved of USD 10,575.00 (€ 11,361.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan de Braij achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Violin Player Accompanying Two Young Singers in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 177,208.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2001 führte Christies in New York die Auktion OLD MASTER DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young girl looking at her reflection in a mirror held by a page von Jan de Braij zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.575,00 (€ 11.361,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan de Braij erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Violin Player Accompanying Two Young Singers im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 177.208,02).
