Admittedly, works by Jan de Bisschop have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of René Descartes, Bust-Length And Leaning On A Ledge, In A Fictive Arch in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 12,925.00 (€ 21,047.43).
