Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Figure In A Sunlit Wood, At Rijswijk by Jan de Bisschop was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,198.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan de Bisschop have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of René Descartes, Bust-Length And Leaning On A Ledge, In A Fictive Arch in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 12,925.00 (€ 21,047.43).

Die Arbeit A Figure In A Sunlit Wood, At Rijswijk von Jan de Bisschop kam im Juli 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.198,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
