In November this year Bonhams in New York held the auction European Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Still Life with a Bouquet framed 65.5 x 81.0 x 2.0 cm (2 4/5 x 31 9/10 x 4/5 in). by Jan Cybis. The »bidding war« ended at USD 14,080.00 (€ 12,907.96), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Cybis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Polish flower Still Life, which sold at auction in November 2018 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,019.16).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 14.080,00 (€ 12.907,96) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Cybis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Polish flower Still Life beobachtet, die im November 2018 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.019,16) versteigert wurde.
