Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art: A Different Perspective, which included the work Kuźnica Bay, Poland by Jan Cybis. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,008.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Cybis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Polish flower Still Life, which sold at auction in November 2018 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,019.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art: A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kuźnica Bay, Poland von Jan Cybis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.008,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Cybis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Polish flower Still Life beobachtet, die im November 2018 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.019,16) versteigert wurde.
