Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work Polish paris, La Seine by Jan Cybis. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,033.36). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Cybis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Polish flower Still Life, which sold at auction in November 2018 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,019.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Polish paris, La Seine von Jan Cybis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 11.033,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Cybis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Polish flower Still Life beobachtet, die im November 2018 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.019,16) versteigert wurde.
