Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Works on Paper, which included the work Wooded landscape with travellers being robbed by Jan Breughel I. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,820.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Breughel I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden Of Eden With The Fall Of Man in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 6,802,500.00 (€ 8,580,091.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wooded landscape with travellers being robbed von Jan Breughel I zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.820,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Breughel I erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Garden Of Eden With The Fall Of Man im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.802.500,00 (€ 8.580.091,30).
