The work A wooded estuary with a ferry and fishermen selling their catch by Jan Breughel I was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 644,200.00 (€ 755,458.07), 29% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Breughel I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden Of Eden With The Fall Of Man in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 6,802,500.00 (€ 8,580,091.30).
