Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mountainous Landscape with Travellers by Jan Breughel I was sold in the Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries auction at Sothebys in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 33,102.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Breughel I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden Of Eden With The Fall Of Man in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 6,802,500.00 (€ 8,580,091.30).
