In the Old Masters Evening Sale auction, the work Studies Of Apples, Pears, Grapes, Blackberries, An Artichoke, Spears Of Asparagus And A Sprig Of Oak sold for GBP 389,000.00 (€ 462,216.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Breughel I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden Of Eden With The Fall Of Man in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 6,802,500.00 (€ 8,580,091.30).
