Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Landscape With A Windmill, Various Figures, Horses, And Animals Near A Farmstead by Jan Breughel I. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 162,500.00 (€ 142,406.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Breughel I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden Of Eden With The Fall Of Man in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 6,802,500.00 (€ 8,580,091.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape With A Windmill, Various Figures, Horses, And Animals Near A Farmstead von Jan Breughel I zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 142.406,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Breughel I erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Garden Of Eden With The Fall Of Man im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.802.500,00 (€ 8.580.091,30).
