Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work A Wooded River Landscape With A Landing Stage, Boats, Various Figures And A Village Beyond by Jan Breughel I for USD 2,295,000.00 (€ 1,879,452.95). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings Evening Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jan Breughel I have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Garden Of Eden With The Fall Of Man in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 6,802,500.00 (€ 8,580,091.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Wooded River Landscape With A Landing Stage, Boats, Various Figures And A Village Beyond von Jan Breughel I für USD 2.295.000,00 (€ 1.879.452,95) erwerben. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Breughel I auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Garden Of Eden With The Fall Of Man im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.802.500,00 (€ 8.580.091,30).
