Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Wooded Landscape With Figures Crossing A Bridge by Jan Breughel I was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 233,000.00 (€ 276,854.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Breughel I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden Of Eden With The Fall Of Man in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 6,802,500.00 (€ 8,580,091.30).

Die Arbeit A Wooded Landscape With Figures Crossing A Bridge von Jan Breughel I wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 233.000,00 (€ 276.854,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Breughel I erzielen.
