Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jamil Naqsh could be acquired at Christies in September 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Woman And Pigeon) changed hands for USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,355.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jamil Naqsh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 134,181.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jamil Naqsh konnte im September 2021 bei Christies für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Woman And Pigeon) für USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.355,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jamil Naqsh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining Nude) im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 134.181,31).
