Sold at the upper estimate price
In March 2019 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Pigeons) by Jamil Naqsh. The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,359.46), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamil Naqsh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Reclining Nude) in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 134,181.31).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im März 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Pigeons) von Jamil Naqsh zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.359,46) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamil Naqsh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Reclining Nude) im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 134.181,31).
