Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jamie Medlin could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures) auction, the work Régates Royales, Cannes, 2006: Mariquita running downwind to the finish, in an afternoon sea-breeze, with Lulworth beyond changed hands for GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,595.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jamie Medlin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mariquita racing to windward during the Pendennis Cup, 2010 in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 57,494.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
