Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Me, Myself and Jah by Jamian Juliano-Villani was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,880.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamian Juliano-Villani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heat Wave in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 342,171.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Me, Myself and Jah von Jamian Juliano-Villani kam im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.880,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamian Juliano-Villani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Heat Wave im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 342.171,67).
