Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In The Zen Garden by Jamian Juliano-Villani was sold in the First Open auction at Christies in New York in March 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 27,676.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamian Juliano-Villani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heat Wave in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 342,171.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit In The Zen Garden von Jamian Juliano-Villani wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion First Open bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 27.676,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamian Juliano-Villani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Heat Wave im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 342.171,67).
