Auction result misses estimated price range
In April last year a collector was able to acquire the work 'W7' by James Welling for USD 2,520.00 (€ 2,391.57). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Welling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 04101403 in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,835.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'W7' von James Welling für USD 2.520,00 (€ 2.391,57) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Welling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 04101403 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.835,55).
