This artwork by James Siena achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in December 2019. In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, the work Distorted Lattice, System - Non System sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,474.04) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Siena - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Recursive Combs, Boustrophedonic, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 53,125.00 (€ 39,489.33).

Dieses Kunstwerk von James Siena erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York wurde die Arbeit Distorted Lattice, System - Non System für USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.474,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von James Siena mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Recursive Combs, Boustrophedonic beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 53.125,00 (€ 39.489,33) versteigert wurde.
