Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,074.32). Admittedly, works by James Peel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View near Walton on the Ribble, Lancashire in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,422.70).
