Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2013 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, British and Impressionist Art, which included the work Morning Near Edmonton by James Peel. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,209.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Peel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View near Walton on the Ribble, Lancashire in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,422.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, British and Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Morning Near Edmonton von James Peel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.209,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Peel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View near Walton on the Ribble, Lancashire im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.315,00 (€ 31.422,70).
