The work Portrait Of Charlotte Leycester, Full-Length, Wearing A White Dress And Holding A Duckling by James Northcote was sold in the Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures auction at Sothebys in London in April 2021. The price achieved of GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,072.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Northcote achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Admiral William Waldegrave, 1St Baron Radstock (1753-1825) in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 46,100.00 (€ 64,551.93).
