This work without title by James Nares was sold in the First Open/ NYC auction at Christies in New York in July 2015. It achieved a price of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,634.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by James Nares have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Take 118 - Blue Black in July 2014 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 65,347.27).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von James Nares wurde im Juli 2015 in der Auktion First Open/ NYC bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.634,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Nares auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Take 118 - Blue Black im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 65.347,27).
