Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mano X by James Mathison was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 15,385.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by James Mathison have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2014 the work Puño was auctioned for USD 37,500.00 (€ 30,149.54).

Die Arbeit Mano X von James Mathison kam im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 15.385,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
