In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Six views of the Strand and its environs, including: George Court; Goldsmith's Tomb, Temple; A passageway near Temple Station (illustrated); White Lion Court; and Wytch Street (2) by James Lawson Stewart. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 875.00 (€ 1,045.62). Other works by James Lawson Stewart have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,941.87) in November 2010 for the work Entrance to the cloisters from Dean's Yard, Westminster (illustrated); Bell tower of St. Stephen's Chapel, Westminster; Courtyard of the Deanery, Westminster; The ancient gateway, Dean's Yard; and Judge Jeffries' House, Duke Street, Westminster.
