Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work The Prime Of Summertime by James Humbert Craig. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,787.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Humbert Craig achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Soft Day, Connemara in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 69,600.00 (€ 102,421.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Prime Of Summertime von James Humbert Craig zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.787,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Humbert Craig erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Soft Day, Connemara im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 69.600,00 (€ 102.421,11).
