Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2010 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by James Daugherty for USD 250.00 (€ 191.29). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Daugherty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Steel Mill in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,735.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2010 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von James Daugherty für USD 250,00 (€ 191,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Daugherty erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Steel Mill im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.735,92).
