Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Daugherty could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art Online auction, the work Rural Life, Holy Milly and the New Ford Car changed hands for USD 2,304.00 (€ 2,125.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Daugherty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Steel Mill in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,735.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von James Daugherty konnte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Rural Life, Holy Milly and the New Ford Car für USD 2.304,00 (€ 2.125,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Daugherty erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Steel Mill im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.735,92).
