Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Goodwyn Clonney could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work The Storyteller changed hands for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,149.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by James Goodwyn Clonney have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2019 by the work Boy Fishing at USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,376.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von James Goodwyn Clonney konnte im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit The Storyteller für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.149,88) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00.
