Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work A Good Breakfast by James Goodwyn Clonney. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,270.79) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Goodwyn Clonney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boy Fishing, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,376.17).
