Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Booz, 2015 by James Franco was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,720.17). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Franco - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Orange Face, 2011, which sold at auction in February this year for USD 7,905.00 (€ 7,456.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Booz, 2015 von James Franco kam im September 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.720,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von James Franco mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Orange Face, 2011 beobachtet, die im Februar diesen Jahres für USD 7.905,00 (€ 7.456,14) versteigert wurde.
