Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Franco could be acquired at Phillips in London in December 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Bird #14 changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 738.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Franco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orange Face, 2011 in February this year with an auction result of USD 7,905.00 (€ 7,456.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von James Franco konnte im Dezember 2019 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Bird #14 für GBP 625,00 (€ 738,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Franco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orange Face, 2011 im Februar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.905,00 (€ 7.456,14).
