The work The First electric life saving Rocket by James Dixon was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2001. The price achieved of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,939.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Dixon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self Portrait in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 11,750.00 (€ 19,699.14).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.939,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden.
