Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The First electric life saving Rocket by James Dixon was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2001. The price achieved of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,939.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Dixon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self Portrait in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 11,750.00 (€ 19,699.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The First electric life saving Rocket von James Dixon kam im Mai 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.939,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Dixon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Self Portrait im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.750,00 (€ 19.699,14).
