In the The Irish Sale, Part II, including the Studio Collection of auction, the work Arlarin Point, Tory Island sold for GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,727.79) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by James Dixon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Self Portrait in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 11,750.00 (€ 19,699.14).
