The work Valley with Arenig on the left by James Dickson Innes was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 31,700.00 (€ 44,388.20), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James Dickson Innes; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Camden Town: Night Scene sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 51,845.73).

Die Arbeit Valley with Arenig on the left von James Dickson Innes kam im November 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 31.700,00 (€ 44.388,20) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 59%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von James Dickson Innes; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Camden Town: Night Scene im März 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 51.845,73).
