This artwork by James Dickson Innes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2016. In the Modern British & Irish Art auction, the work At The Theatre sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,419.10) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Dickson Innes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Camden Town: Night Scene in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 51,845.73).

Dieses Kunstwerk von James Dickson Innes erzielte im März 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art wurde die Arbeit At The Theatre für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.419,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Dickson Innes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Camden Town: Night Scene im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 51.845,73).
