Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian & Edwardian Art, which included the work Darby And Joan by James Charles. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,429.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by James Charles have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2003 the work Darby and Joan was auctioned for GBP 26,290.00 (€ 38,382.57).
