Auction result misses estimated price range

In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman auction, the work Lady with a Black Mask changed hands for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,437.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Carroll Beckwith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Study With Sunlight in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 118,169.79).
