Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 4,825.00 (€ 4,098.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Carroll Beckwith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Study With Sunlight in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 118,169.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cutting the Reeds von James Carroll Beckwith wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.825,00 (€ 4.098,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Carroll Beckwith erzielen.
