A top price for James Campbell Noble - as previously expected
The work A Dutch Waterway by James Campbell Noble was sold in the Scottish and Sporting Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in August 2007. The price achieved of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,514.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Dutch Waterway is the most expensive artwork by James Campbell Noble that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit A Dutch Waterway von James Campbell Noble wurde im August 2007 in der Auktion Scottish and Sporting Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.514,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist A Dutch Waterway das teuerste Kunstwerk von James Campbell Noble, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
