The work A Dutch Waterway by James Campbell Noble was sold in the Scottish and Sporting Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in August 2007. The price achieved of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,514.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Dutch Waterway is the most expensive artwork by James Campbell Noble that we have observed at auctions so far.
