Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2003 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures, which included the work Sun after rain by James Campbell Noble. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 822.50 (€ 1,191.49). Admittedly, works by James Campbell Noble have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Dutch Waterway in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,514.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sun after rain von James Campbell Noble zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 822,50 (€ 1.191,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Campbell Noble auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Dutch Waterway im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.514,80).
