In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures, which included the work Barges, Holland by James Campbell Noble. The price achieved of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,146.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00.
