Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Christies in London held the auction Scottish ArtThe Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh, which included the work Across the highlands, sunset by James Campbell Noble. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,230.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Campbell Noble - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Dutch Waterway, which sold at auction in August 2007 for GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,514.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Scottish ArtThe Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh durch, in der auch die Arbeit Across the highlands, sunset von James Campbell Noble zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.230,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von James Campbell Noble mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Dutch Waterway beobachtet, die im August 2007 für GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.514,80) versteigert wurde.
