Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2018 Sothebys in Online held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Agway, 1965 by James Brooks. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,000.00 (€ 17,857.14), 22% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by James Brooks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work M-51 in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 165,592.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in Online die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Agway, 1965 von James Brooks zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.000,00 (€ 17.857,14) und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Brooks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit M-51 im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 165.592,16).
