Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Snipe Shooting In A Winter Landscape by James Barenger was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in May 2012. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,795.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Barenger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unkenneling; Going to draw; Gone away and The Kill, which sold at auction in May 2000 for GBP 22,325.00 (€ 35,823.39).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.795,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
