This artwork by Jakub Julian Ziółkowski achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2021. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Friends sold for GBP 23,940.00 (€ 28,107.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jakub Julian Ziółkowski; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Olimp sold at auction in December last year with the realized price of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 31,293.18).
